SAN FRANCISCO, CA – 1 February 2010 – The Toronto chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) has won the association’s award for the International Chapter of the Year for 2010. The winners of IABC’s 2010 Chapter Management Awards were announced at the recently held Leadership Institute in San Diego, California. IABC/Toronto was also named the Large Chapter of the Year for the second year in a row. The award for the Small Chapter of the Year was presented to IABC/Lincoln while IABC/Montréal won the Mid-Size Chapter of the Year award.
IABC’s chapter management awards recognize the leadership abilities, management skills, creativity and teamwork of outstanding volunteer chapter leaders worldwide. Awards are presented in three divisions - small, mid-size and large chapters. Within those divisions are eight categories: branding, membership marketing, professional development, financial management, leadership development, communication, community involvement and student involvement.
